One-Year Bible Reading Challenge

In 2021, the Pendleton and Pilot Rock Church district came together for “40 Days of Prayers and Devotions to Prepare for the Second Coming.” This season of praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit has sparked a revival.

In 2022 we are embarking on a journey to read the entire Bible cover to cover in one year. We would like to invite all of you to join us. We will continue to pray daily for the Holy Spirit and we are now adding daily reading through the Bible.

Each day we will be reading the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. We have created a beautiful Bible reading plan that makes it possible for you to track your progress as you do your daily readings. It will only take 15-20 minutes to complete each day's reading.

I suggest downloading it and printing it using the links on the right-hand side of this page. We will also make copies of the plan available at the Church for anyone who wants to pick one up.

The Bible reading plan also includes a list of five questions you can ask yourself daily. These questions are designed to help you gain a devotional blessing from your readings. We also want to encourage you to journal your responses to the questions. (See the Bible Reading Plan for a list of the five questions).

Pastor Farr will be going live daily at 5:15 PST on Instagram @stephenfarr12 and sharing his answers to the questions. He would also like to invite anyone who is interested and doing the Bible challenge to join him on the daily live devotional so that you can join him in sharing your answers to the questions for that day.
If you don’t have Instagram, no worries. We will be uploading the daily devotional on the Church Facebook and YouTube sites as well.

Lastly, one of the most important things about the Bible challenge is that although we are starting it January 1, 2022, it can be started any day. The daily live devotionals will be archived on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. If you miss a day or fall behind no worries. Just start again from where you left off. Don’t try to do multiple day's readings to catch up. This challenge isn’t about speed reading the Bible but instead it is designed to help all of us develop the habit of spending time daily praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, reading God’s Word and recording in a journal the things God is speaking to your heart.
